Ms. Patience H. Forster’s journey into the legal profession started at the University of The Gambia where she obtained her LLB in 2014. Prior to being called to the Gambian bar in April 2017, she joined Batchilly Chambers as an intern and rose through the ranks from being a pupil trainee to a Junior Associate. In December 2023, Ms. Forster obtained a masters in Intellectual Property and Development Policy at the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management.

Litigation is generally challenging, yet, Ms. Forster finds passion in it as she considers it the core in thrive in both civil and criminal matters for private legal practitioners. She is a great communicator with great interpersonal skills which is manifested in her dealings with seniors at the bar, colleagues and clients. Patience has handled various criminal and civil matters ranging from assault, murder, land disputes, marital causes, adoption, custody, controlled drugs and Intellectual Property matters.
Ms. Forster served as a member of the Methodist Church Law and Polity Committee, Board member of Longman Memorial Methodist Preparatory and Kindergarten School , Legal Adviser to the Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce(GYCC) and was an intern at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of The Gambia to the United Nations.
